So, Saturday was pretty... rough. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about but I was seriously suffering. This smoothie was the only thing that got my mind right enough to be able to think straight.. and actually do work! Miracle cure, for sure.
Somewhat surprisingly, one of the biggest trends right now is the bucket bag. Despite my surprise, I've always actually had a thing for them. I'm unsure if it's because they sort of sport an old lady vibe or because I simply find them unusual, but I remember swooning over this style back in middle school. Everyone knows Mansur Gavriel purses are to die for, but would Zara's MG-inspired bag fit the bill (in more ways than one) just fine?
Oh Nike, you get me every time. Admittedly, I don't need anymore trainers. But I certainly want more. Even athletic shoes can't escape my footwear obsession. Plus, these happen to play up one of my favorite trends: neon details. I'd say I should make some room is my closet, wouldn't you agree?
I know. I know. It's finally spring and I'm still acquiring black pieces. Boots, no less! But I mean, if you ask me (which I realize you didn't), black is perfect any time. Despite how much I'm loving the pastels and sunshine, I can always come back to black.
Basically, Georgetown Cupcakes is amazing and you all need to go. The first time I had it was in Georgetown and I didn't know they opened up a new branch in LA until a few weeks ago. I can't believe how many delicious cupcakes I've missed out on. It's just...wrong.
I like weird things. Every time I go to a restaurant, my friends know I'm going to order the weirdest thing on the menu. I really never used to be this way. I used to think that when I tried to explore something beyond my comfort zone, I always ended up regretting it. Well, my palate has changed since then and now I prefer the weird. I prefer knowing what I like and what I don't rather than not knowing. I like to try new things and learn more about myself in the process. This particular combination may not be the weirdest thing in the world, but it's definitely a unique variation of a classic, and something I wouldn't have wanted to try in my adolescence.

Best believe I did NOT look cute after yesterday's workout. Holy crap. I'll go into more detail later but let's just say I strongly dislike Cassey Ho from Blogilates (but in a good way).
Remember when I said lemon is one of my top five flavors? I really catered to my lemon addiction and discovered this cake was made for me. Well, literally and figuratively because I live alone and it's [thankfully] ALL MINE.
It's finally gotten a little warmer here! Sadly, it's supposed to rain later today and for the next couple of days...but I'm trying not to think about it for now. For now, let's talk about how I was finally able to run OUTSIDE! At a cool 50 degrees, I was running comfortably outside and taking in the views. [skip down for the recipes!]
